How Often to Clean Your Bathroom

We use the bathroom every day; some people use it multiple times a day. It is one of the most important rooms in your home. However, whenever the topic of cleaning arises, it seems like everyone finds other things to do. Because we spend so much time cleaning ourselves in it, the bathroom can quickly become dirty. How often you clean the room depends on your lifestyle. Do you live by yourself? Do you have a family with little children? These factors all determine how often you should clean your bathroom.

At The Maids® Dallas, we want you to enjoy clean restrooms. We understand that not all bathrooms are the same. However, we want to suggest a cleaning schedule that we hope helps you.

When to Clean Areas in Your Bathroom

We understand, the thought of cleaning every day sounds awful. Don’t worry, this won’t take long. Keep a squeegee in your shower or bath. After each shower, simply wipe down the walls and doors. This will reduce the moisture in the air, which causes bad odors and spots. Also, put away objects such as toothbrushes, lotions, and floss after using it. This can help reduce clutter.

Once a Week
If you can, it is a good idea to clean your toilet, sinks, and mirrors clean. Take a moment out of your week to wipe down your mirrors. Scrub the toilets and rinse your sinks. This will help minimize unseemly stains and dirt from hardening.

Once a Month
We leave the more intensive cleaning for once a month. At least once a month, your tiles and grout should get some attention. Scrub away any grime or stains left on it. This is also a good time to dust any shelves you may have. Finally, show your showerhead some love. One trick to get it clean is to fill a bag with vinegar and submerge the showerhead in it. Leave it overnight and clean away the dirt.

Do you hate cleaning your bathrooms? You’re not alone! At The Maids® Dallas, we offer all levels of cleaning services. Whether you want us to come once a month, once a week, or every day, we’re here for you! Schedule a cleaning today!
